About Us

Owner 

SMDC was founded by Barron Page in 1972. By 1974 SMDC had two trucks spraying Van Buren, Allegan, and Cass counties for dust control. By the late 1980's with four trucks running, SMDC was approached by Van Buren County to start spraying brine on all the main roads during the winter months to keep the roads clean of ice.

 Fast forward to 2008 and SMDC has really ramped up on deicing due to the high costs of salt. SMDC services many local business and contractors around Southwest Michigan and continues to grow by not only spraying themselves but, by offering custom spray systems and bulk storage of brine to other contractors and landscapers with large snow removal accounts.

Operations Manager

Brad joined his father Barron full time right out of high school in 1986. Since then Brad has become a significant asset to the company by managing the day to day operations such as, coordinating spray routes and bulk brine delivery to designing and fabricating SMDC's state of the art spray system. All while driving and servicing his own routes.

Office Manager

Despite being around the family business the majority of his life, Jason is relatively new to the SMDC team.

Jason came on full time in 2016 after owning his own insurance company for over 10 years. Jason manages the office side of things at SMDC and is the first person you will interact with when contacting SMDC.
